About Us

Interior view of the West Covina Elks Lodge event space.

The West Covina Elks Lodge has been a fixture on West Merced Avenue long enough to have watched the San Gabriel Valley grow up around it. The main hall, with its full stage and working bar, has hosted everything from solemn celebrations of life to raucous fundraiser nights, and the parking lot out back doubles as a level, 50-amp RV park with a dump station for traveling members passing through Southern California.

The lodge runs on the four cardinal principles of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks: charity, justice, brotherly love, and fidelity. In practical terms, that means scholarship programs for local students, support for veterans and their families, and community events that keep the calendar full year-round. Members show up for each other in ways that a simple rating score doesn't capture.

With a 4.5-star rating across more than 160 reviews, the lodge clearly means something real to the people who belong here. The hall is available for private rentals, the RV park welcomes Elks travelers, and weekly meetings keep the brotherhood active and accountable to West Covina and the surrounding communities it serves.

What We Offer

The lodge offers a full-size main hall with a stage, a bar, and restroom facilities, making it a practical and affordable venue for celebrations of life, banquets, reunions, and community events. Rental inquiries are handled through lodge management, and the space can accommodate sizable gatherings with room to move.

Out back, the RV park provides level pull-in spaces with 50-amp electrical and water hookups, plus a dump station on site. It's a genuine amenity for Elks members traveling the I-10 corridor who want a safe, clean overnight stop without paying resort prices.

Beyond the physical space, the lodge runs active scholarship programs, veterans' assistance initiatives, and charitable giving coordinated through the national Elks organization. Members gain access to a network of lodges across the country, weekly social events, and the kind of long-term community ties that are genuinely hard to find anywhere else in the San Gabriel Valley.

"This is not a welcoming club. People are not nice here!! Definitely not the same Elks club that I grew up with. I hate having to drop my elderly Mother here for her weekly meetings. We walk in there and are completely looked at like we are unwanted and don't belong there anymore."

"I went there for a celebration of life so I'm really only familiar with the main hall which was rented. They do have a bar, a stage at one end and the restrooms are off the hall."

"My wife and I tried to go see the band British Invasion this past Saturday. The doorman was very rude! We are not members.I told him we did not know the rules and we just wanted to listen to some music and have some fun. This is California! He then said that we could not enter. He was very unprofessional. We then went to a place closer to home.As soon as we walked in the employees welcomed us with open arms and BROTHERLY LOVE!"

The Elks gave America
Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
